I've used Karité Special Hair Mask by nuNAAT® For Dry, Damaged and Broken Hair a few times but my result was different this time around. My hair was perfectly fine before but this time, it's dry, heat-damaged and has a little more breakage than usual. What better time to see if this product really does what it claims to do - help dry, damaged and broken hair.
I did not use it as directed but used it as an overnight pre-poo instead. Keep reading to see how I used it and what I experienced.
- Separated hair into 6 sections
- Misted hair with water
- Applied nuNAAT® Karité Special Hair Mask to each section
(a little goes a long way but I don't love the sweet perfumey smell) - Detangled hair with a wide tooth comb
(had nice slip to aid in detangling) - Plaited each conditioned and detangled section
- Covered hair with a plastic bag and then a satin cap
- Slept on hair overnight
- Washed hair out in the morning with a regular sulphate shampoo
(hair felt soft, stronger and reasonably moisturised.) - I followed up with my regular moisture and seal routine.
After using this product, I realised that some of my heat-damaged hair had fully reverted while others showed significant improvement. I think I'll be using this product again. I gave this product a 3.5 /5 rating because it didn't really do much for my hair when it was strong and healthy. It produced more strength and rejuvenation rather than the mind-blowing moisture that I usually desire. It may also need to stay on hair for an extended time or be used with heat or a steamer for maximum results.

With Karité Special's Hair Mask being so reasonably priced, try it as an overnight pre-poo if you have damaged hair.
