PROFILE | Shaunelle from Guyana

Today's Kinky natural is Shaunell Taitt. The Caribbean Curls blogger from Guyana, South America shares a little about her hair with us. 

KiK:  How long have you been natural/locked? 
Taitt:  September 1st will be my second year natural. Yay!

KiK:  Tell us what you love most about your kinky hair? 
Taitt:  It does what it wants, when it wants. Unpredictable like me. 


KiK:  Share your favourite hairstyle? 
Taitt:  I'm a wash and go girl, mainly because my hair hates it when I manipulate it's natural curl pattern and also because I'm "style challenged" lol.

KiK:  Briefly, what is your hair regimen? 
Taitt:  I shampoo once a week with a sulfate free shampoo (Cream of nature), co-wash every 2-3 days with Herbal Essences Long Term relationship Conditioner and style with either KCCC or my homemade Okra or flax seed gel. I deep condition once a week also with EVOO and honey (combined with either bananas or avacado depending on what I have at the moment). Once a month I do a light protein or hot oil treatment. At nights I massage my scalp with rosemary or peppermint oil and in the mornings I moisturize, shake and go.

KiK:  What is your favourite hair product and why? 
Taitt:  I love Kinky Curly Curling Custard because I can use it as a moisturizer, styler and finisher. It gives me hold, definition and less frizz.
